Stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) is one of my favorite things to do in San Diego because you can get out on the water without getting wet (unless you struggle with balance like I do), making it one of the few year-round water activities in San Diego.
With the abundant things to do in the Florida Keys, we recommend following up with Key Largo. Get in the water when visiting Key Largo, known for its unmatched aquatic activities from snorkeling at the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park to visiting the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary for an encounter with sea turtles.
48 things to do
Paragliding is a highlight experience for adventure lovers coming to Jarabacoa and looking for exciting things to do in the Dominican Republic. You can go with a professional pilot and roam the skies above the Jarabacoa valleys. Costs start at $50 per person.
Another one of the many underrated things to do in the Dominican Republic is a hidden gem in the southwest, the salt mines of Bani. The large salt pans are naturally pink before the salt is extracted by the local miners. Ask for permission to enter, and take a stroll down the trolley tracks to take in the view of these pink pools surrounded by beautiful mountains and piles of snowy-white salt.
Of all the amazing things to do in Santo Domingo, if you can only do one, then let it be this one. Dedicate some time to explore la Zona Colonial, the historic colonial center of the city. This is not just a spot for tourists, local artists and community leaders offer products, services, and community spaces that you can support. La Zona Colonial is hands down the best place in Santo Domingo for cultural events, social movements, art galleries, museums, nightlife, and trendy restaurants.
Things will likely be handled differently so it is wise to drop the romantic association with your old job and how things used to work there and get ready to roll-up your sleeves and learn the new ropes at your new place of work.
San Diego is a must-do on any trip to California but with so many things to see and do it might be a bit difficult to plan a well-spent trip on such a limited time. To ease the pressure you can use this guide to begin with.
Disclosure: This post about things to do in Billings Montana is sponsored. My travel, lodging, meals, rental car, and activities were hosted by Visit Billings. I was a paid ambassador for Visit USA Parks. BUT as ALWAYS all opinions in this story are my own.
I visited the cemetery outside of the visitor's center and did the tour road in my car stopping along the way to look at headstones and historical markers. One of the most exciting things was catching some wild horses on the drive. They were close enough to see, but I certainly did not have the right camera to capture these gorgeous beasts!
After my visit, I made a stop at the Land Stand Trading Post just outside the park. I have been to a few trading posts in my time, but nothing like this! It was huge, chock full of fun things to look at and buy (I bought a t-shirt!), it had teepees, scary cool skulls, and Indian fry bread with honey!
My Phoenix airport shuttle had picked me up at 3:00 am so I could get to Billings in time to enjoy the afternoon, so coffee was one of the first things on my mind when I landed! My first stop was Rock Creek Coffee Roasters where I had a cold brew (although it wasn't the 112 I had just left in Phoenix, it was 90). I was SO tempted to try their cold brew and Coca-Cola drink but I wasn't going to go that carb crazy in my first hour in Billings, so I had the regular cold brew! While staying in Billings I also stopped in at Ebon Coffee Collective where I tried their cortado. I was eyeballing some of their avocado toast, but had to be reasonable!
Cincinnati is a great destination to spend a long weekend. It's easily reachable from several major Midwestern cities (it's within 4 hours from places like Cleveland, Columbus, Indianapolis, Louisville, and even Nashville and Detroit), and has plenty of things to keep you busy.
Legoland Florida delivers heaps of things to see and do, including rollercoasters, huge Lego-built models (such as Florida, New York, Kennedy Space Center and Daytona Speedway), shows and performances. Most of the rides are geared towards kids (2-12-year-old), such as the popular Duplo fairground-style rides, the indoor-outdoor Dragon rollercoaster, wooden Coastersaurous, and safari trek.
The upscale village of Winter Park is full of historical and top cultural attractions just north of downtown Orlando. From a 9-hole golf course and sophisticated shopping boutiques to fancy restaurants and Florida's first college, there are so many things to do in Winter Park Orlando. You can visit this quaint area during the day for a spot of lunch and shopping, but most come in the evening when the main street is lit up. Its pleasant vibe sees many couples out for a stroll after dinner and drinks.
As you can see, we have covered a lot in 2 days and it is certainly doable. You can also use this itinerary for a weekend in Vienna. Having the Vienna Card with hop on and hop off bus helps to navigate the city a lot faster than driving or trying to figure things out on your own in a short time. 2ff7e9595c
